The Sensitive House, SENSHOME
Description of the research group
The research team conducted a study funded by the European Union, Interreg Italy Austria, on the living of neurodivergent people (autism, Alzheimer). The group is interdisciplinary between architecture and engineering (technical physics). A model flat was built, with prototypes of the special furniture, with technology and sensor integration, designed by the group (see pictures).
The prototype, which was built in the laboratories of the University of Bozen, was used to validate the furnishings and detect the interior comfort parameters. Once the European project is closed, the group is continuing with some agreements with public and private facilities and building other proposals for project refinancing.
