Raman Spectroscopy Lab
Description
The RSL study the application of Raman spectroscopy, microscopy and imaging to a variety of system, from inorganic and polymeric materials to biological samples, with the goal of providing analytical solutions to a variety of problems.
The main expertise of the RSL is about the combined use of nanotechnology, Raman spectroscopy and data science (chemometrics, machine learning) to provide solutions for clinical problems (e.s. diagnosis, bioanalysis), through the development of Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) methods based on metal nanoparticles.
Instrumentation include a variety of Raman microscopes and portable instruments, plus two optical tables and several optical and optomechanical elements.
