Description of the research group
The Energy System Laboratory (EneSysLab) has a consolidated experience in the design, development, and management of energy systems.
The activities of the research group are focused on the modelling and optimization of complex energy systems, via branch-and-bound algorithms, or by means of the development of digital twin models. Moreover, the study and the application of energy recovery strategies are explored for enhancing the performances of complex plants. Finally, research activities are also addressed to the study and development of hydrogen-based technologies (fuel cells and electrolysers) and their application in conventional energetic system operating with renewable energy sources.
The laboratory is also used for didactical purposes.
